Vincent J. Costantino
South Plainfield - Vincent J. Costantino, 66, died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Edison, Vincent had resided in South Plainfield since 1973.
For 34 years, Mr. Costantino was employed by the former Mayfair Supermarkets based in Elizabeth. He retired as Regional Director.
A proud owner of his Cadillac, Vincent was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed trips down to Atlantic City.
Vincent found peace working with his hands. He was a skilled woodworker and gardener but more importantly he adored his grandchildren.
In addition, Mr. Costantino was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield and he recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary.
He is predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Mary Farrell.
Surviving are his loving family, his wife Karen (Horky) Costantino, his 2 daughters; Tracy Scott and her husband Jonathan of Dunellen and Kim Baskiewicz and her husband Jesse of Edison. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren; Mark and Jason Scott and Kaitlyn and Karen Baskiewicz.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield.
Interment will follow at resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
