Obituary of Philomena A. Razzo

South Plainfield - Philomena "Phyllis" A. (Cutone) Razzo, 98, died peacefully Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born and raised in Manhattan, NY, Phyllis resided in the Bronx, relocated to New Jersey and had resided in Orange and East Orange before settling to South Plainfield 37 years ago. Prior to her retirement at age 67, Phyllis preformed clerical work for various banks throughout her life. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, spending time together with her family, taking day trips to various locations, teaching her grandchildren to cook and numerous Sunday dinners. Predeceased by her husband who died in 1986, Anthony "Andy", son - in- law, John "Butch" Gallagher, sister, Rose Cutone and five brothers; Michael, Frank, Salvatore, Joseph and Ralph. Surviving are her daughter, Nina Gallagher, two sisters; Anna Sacco and Dolores Barone, three grandchildren; Lisa Gallagher, John and his wife Monica and Patrick and his wife Kristina and five great grandchildren; Nicholas, Matthew, Ryan, Daniel and Kiera. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 9:15AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Family and friends may attend visitation on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 1-4PM and 6-9PM in the funeral home.
