We extend our condolences to "Victor's" Family and Friends. I remember there were quite a few occassions, Mom and Victor would head out in the wee hours of the morning to assist families in need. I believe Victor was one of the first she would call, many of times he rolled out of bed 2 a.m. and pick up mom, and they would head to their destination. She spoke very highly of Victor. A wonderful person, rest in peace. Sincerely, Dina Esposito/Terri Esposito

First of all, I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the entire Prasad's family on the sudden lost of Vijaianand. It was through his youngest brother (Bhuvanand) who happened to be my classmate and my oldest brother (Prakash) who provided the impetus for me to become acquainted with Vijai(the name I knew him by)in 1964. From 1964 to 1970 our interactions were frequent vis-a-vis social meetings, crossing paths at Brickdam Police station, political gathering, casual hello's, shouting out to us answers to mental math problems from across the street (mathematics was his fort'e), and playing cricket (and he enjoyed playing on my team). During these brief moments of our interactions I observed Vijai to be a very ethical, social, amicable, modest, humble, selfless, and an extremely substative converstaionalist who can go on forever interjecting with his fine quintessential sense of humor and funny, funny laughs. Yes, Vijai was good at debating and a good orator; and yes, let us not forget his flare of temper when he does not get his way or point of view across or if he was wrongfully dismissed-out in cricket. Although five years senior to me and a better scholar than I am, Vijai always gave me the due respect (why, I don't know)which demonstrated the sort of simple minded person he was. Thirty-four years had gone by until 2004 at the Grove reunion in Cunningham Park it took a few seconds to rekindle our acquaintance. I later followed up in 2004 with an invitation to him and family to join me for dinner on the day of Dipavli after talking to him for two hours but he declined as usual. Vijai was a woderful gentleman and I am sure he will be missed by his family, relatives, friends, and colleagues and so so many people that he touched with his warm and genuine smiles.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Chitra Mamie, Sumantha and Andy, although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you all tomorrow. Someone as special as Vijay Mamoo will never be forgotten. He will remain in our hearts forever. With our deepest sympathies Kamini, Rohan, Keisha, Kianna, Kavisha

Oh uncle vijai, when I heard of your sudden passing, I couldn't help reflecting on my childhood memories of you. Myself vake and vishal enjoyed visiting with you and chitra cha-Chee at your apartment in the Bronx. You were always interested in how we were doing . Always stressed education. As I became older and got married, you spent hours filming my wedding . Just last week, ray and I. Played it for our daughters and told them you filmed it. To my cha -Chee, sumanta and Andy. My heart breaks for you. Rest in peace cha-cha. I know Agee ,Aja , big-cha cha and Lucille pooah. Are waiting for you with open arms. One more angel looking over our family. God bless you. I love you Chach. Sweet dreams until we meet again.

My Dear Cousin, I remember the days that you used to visit us while you were in the police force in Guyana. How much you liked cold cream soda. The times we spent together in Grove during my school holidays. You were truly an inspiration to me, always encouraging me to improve and achieve goals. I often reflect on your days on the debate team and showing me how to read finger prints during your police studies. Thank you very much for that and for showing me what family is all about. In my heart, you will live forever. May you now rest in peace. Eventually we will all meet in the same place.
