Robert C. Simmonds, 60, passed away November 17, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield to the late Robert and Navarette Simmonds, he was a resident of South Plainfield.
Bobby spent his time cooking, entertaining, and being with family and close friends. He enjoyed joking and laughing with everyone he met.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, his sister Karin Czaikowski and by his nephew Cale Oerther. Surviving are his loving wife of 20 years, Margaret Ward Simmonds; his cherished daughter Mary Kathryn "Katie" Simmonds; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Edward Oerther, Deborah Peterson and Stan Czaikowski and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Visitation hours are from 3:00 to 6:00 pm with a closing prayer service starting at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the American Cancer Society at m.cancer.org/donate
