Obituary of John A. Kozimbo

Point Pleasant - John A. Kozimbo, 78, of Point Pleasant formerly of South Plainfield passed away on Friday July 18, 2014 in Ocean Medical Center in Brick NJ Born in Kaska, PA., John had lived in Linden and South Plainfield for most of his life before settling to Point Pleasant in the mid 1990's. He served his country proudly as a staff sergeant in the United States Army from 1962- 1964. His career began in the South Plainfield Post Office where he worked for 45 years prior to his retirement as the Supervisor of Mails. John is an outdoors man who loved fishing, boating and making others laugh. Additionally, John was a loyal son and was great at story telling. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Helen and brother, Joseph, surviving are five children; John, Laura, Susan Sierra, Arlene and David, sister, Sylvia Parker, and two grandchildren, Samantha and Jade. Family and friends are invited to join together for visitation on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 4-7 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Ave. , South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow mass at the family plot in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart or Diabetes organization of one's choice.
