Obituary of Nunzio Spilletti

Middlesex, NJ - Nunzio Spilletti, 79, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson at Somerset in Somerville. Nunzio was born in Sicily, Italy to his late parents Nunzio and Maddalena (Riccobono) Spilletti. He retired from Angelo's Pizzeria in Hillsborough where he worked as a chef. Nunzio was a hard working husband, father and grandfather. He loved his wife's cooking, especially her pasta and always enjoyed a fine glass of wine. Nunzio enjoyed trips back home to Sicily and cherished all the time spent with his grandchildren. He liked to spend time in his garden and always could be found wearing bright colors. He is predeceased by his parents and his siblings; Enza Castagnetta and Antonio Spilletti. Nunzio leaves behind his loving and devoted family; wife Maria (Fricano) Spilletti of Middlesex and children; Peter and his wife Shannon of Branchburg, Carlo and his wife Lisa of Readington Township and Maddalena Conahan and her husband Michael of Middlesex. He will be deeply missed by his six cherished grandchildren; Peter, Jonathan, Lauren, Madeleine, Jacalyn and Megan and by his dear siblings; Salvatore, Joseph and his wife Angela and Giovanni and his wife Angela. Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 9:30 am until 10:00 am. Funeral services will begin 10:00 am in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 followed by a 10:45 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish. Mausoleum entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
