Mary A. McLaughlin Mt. Bethel, PA - Mary A. (Hanlon) McLaughlin, 81, died on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at her daughters home. Born in Orange, NJ to her late parents Vincent J. and Alice (Rawley) Halon, she lived in Edison until moving to Mt. Bethel, PA in 2004. Mary spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family. She was a teachers aide of Washington Elementary School in Edison and previously worked as a secretary for Bell Telephone of Newark. She was an active member of St. Matthews RC Church in Edison and sang in their church choir. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Vincent and her infant sister Alice. Mary leaves behind her children; Sharon Brien of Montreal, Marybeth Barylsky and her husband John of Mt. Bethel and John McLaughlin, Jr. also of Mt. Bethel. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Stephanie Mary, Steven, Shane, Alfred John and Stephanie Marie as well her siblings; Margaret "Peggy" Bohsen and Richard, John, Thomas and Vincent Hanlon. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 beginning 8:30 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 9:30 AM funeral mass at St. Matthews RC Church in Edison. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery located in East Hanover. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 4-8 PM and on Tuesday from 8:15AM until the service time.
