Piscataway - Gilbert R. Chicaiza 73, died on Wednesday, April, 9, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Ecuador, Gilbert came to the Unites States in 1981, residing in Piscataway. He was a hardworking Welder for Clem's Ornamental Iron Works in Piscataway where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Fanny Rosales, two daughters, Sonia and Fanny and four sons, Enrigue, Mario, Gilbert and Raul. Also surviving are seven siblings and six beloved grandchildren
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in St. Mary's RC Church Plainfield at 10 AM.
Family and friends are invited to join with the family for visitation and wake service to be held on Monday, April 14th and Tuesday, 15th from 5-8 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Cremation will follow mass privately with the interment of his cremated remains to take place in Ecuador.
