Obituary of Matthew D. Condon

South Plainfield - Matthew D. Condon passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 76. Matthew is predeceased by parents, Matthew G. and Margaret (McHugh) Condon, and his five siblings, Eileen, Lillian, Dennis, William and Kevin. Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Mildred of 50 years. They were married in St. Mary's RC Church in Rahway, NJ on May 22 1965. Matthew and Mildred lived in South Plainfield since 1966. Matthew is lovingly remembered by his son, Daniel, of South Plainfield, NJ and daughter, Jennifer and son in law, Scott Kuperman, of Springfield, NJ; grandchildren Zachary, Katarina, Ethan, and Bennett; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. Matthew was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 24, 1939. He spent his childhood growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Matthew served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a Typesetter at The Quinn and Boden Company in Rahway, NJ and later at Concept, INC. in New York City. Matthew was an avid fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ on Saturday 14, 2015 from 1-3PM. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Matthew's name to any charity of one's choosing.
