Obituary of Ralphola Rousseau

South Plainfield - Ralphola Rousseau, 80, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in North Carolina to the late Ralph and Grace Page, Ralphola resided in Derby, CT, and traveled the world as a military family. She finally settled to South Plainfield in 1980. Mrs. Rousseau had a passion for helping people and did so by working as a registered nurse. Ralphola was a longtime member of the New Durham Chapel in Piscataway. She participated in the Little Lambs program and also taught Sunday school. She is predeceased by her husband Wilfred J, Jr., her son Wilfred J. III and by a sister Gaye Milardo Surviving are her four children; Karen Kamener and husband Scott of Ft. Myers, FL, Renee Nieto and husband Daniel of Howell, Wilfred J. of Jupiter, FL and Douglas J of South Plainfield, her sister Woody McMahon of North Carolina and her brother; Richard Frazier also of North Carolina. Also surviving are her six grandchildren; April, Jeffrey, Danielle, Jessica, Nathaniel and Gabriel and four great grandchildren; Averi, Tyler, Preston and Caitlyn. Funeral services will be held at 8:30PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 in the New Durham Chapel, 225 New Durham Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Family and friends may attend visitation on Monday beginning at 6:30PM until service time in New Durham Chapel. Additional Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 12pm at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Rd. Shelton, CT. 06484. Interment will follow at 1pm in the Riverside Cemetery, Shelton, CT. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society www.lls.org
