Irene Tedesco
South Plainfield, NJ - Irene J. (Royall) Tedesco, 63, died on Thursday evening, March 17, 2011 at her home with her family at her side. Born in Camp Kilmer, she has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1983.
Irene retired about five years ago from the former Schooner Inn, currently known as the Spain Inn where she had worked as a bartender. She is an active member of Wesley Methodist Church in South Plainfield.
She is predeceased by her parents; Thomas and Catherine (Crowley) Royall and by her husband, Peter, who died in 2001.
Irene leaves behind her daughters and their husbands; Teresa and Raymond Malone of South Plainfield and Christine and DJ O'Rorke of Middlesex. Her sister, Mary Stokes and a brother, Thomas Royall.
She will be missed by her grandchildren; David Muldowney, Raymond and Niko Madden, Christopher Barca, Brittany O'Rourke and Melissa O'Rorke and her great-granddaughter Tatiana Rose Mendez and her soon to be great-granddaughter Aubrey Jade Madden.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 1500 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Committal prayers will follow privately at Rosehill Crematory in Linden and burial of Irene's cremated remains will be at a later date along with her husband in the Rosedale Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Peter's Foundation, 254 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1766.
