Obituary of Kathleen M. Creighton

Kathleen M. Creighton died suddenly on January 15, 2014 at her home in Lakewood, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. Viewing will be on January 21, 2014 from 3PM to 8PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at The Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield at 10AM. Cremation will be private. Kathy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Creighton. She was born in Orange, N.J. and grew up in South Plainfield. Kathy graduated from South Plainfield High School and then from Kean University with a degree in English. She lived for many years in Point Pleasant and recently moved to Lakewood. She was employed as a manager for Barnes and Noble in Brick, NJ. Kathy loved to read, travel, enjoyed photography, writing Haiku (and had many of her works published), relaxing at her beloved beach and spending time with her many friends and family. in the seconds between lightning and thunder our plans recast She was a very loving, creative, thoughtful woman whose memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Kathy is survived by her beloved sisters Patricia Cullinane (Michael), Barbara Murphy, Nancy Callahan (Rick), and her brother Thomas Creighton (Kathryn). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews as well as her long time best friend Cathy Boyd and her family.
