Constance "Connie" M. O'Grady, 82, passed away February 8, 2016 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ. Born and raised in Glen Ridge, NJ, she has resided in Piscataway for over 50 years.
Mrs. O'Grady was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol. She served as a congressional aid to Congressman Patton; was a member of the Piscataway Historical and Heritage Society and the Raritan-Millstone Heritage Alliance.
Connie was predeceased by her loving husband John who passed away in 2009. Surviving are her loving children; Terry Van Liew and her husband Kenneth of Cranford, Daniel O'Grady of Metuchen and Carol Markese and her husband Otto of Jackson and her grandchildren Michael, Alyse and Courtney Van Liew; Kyle, Brett and Sean O'Grady and Richard Markese.
Visitation hours are Thursday from 4 to 8pm at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 am at the St. Francis Episcopal Church in Dunellen followed by interment in the Lake Nelson Burial Park in Piscataway.
