Obituary of Catharine Fry

South Plainfield - Catharine "Ruth" (Nettleton) Fry, 90, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Regency Jewish Heritage in Somerset. Born in Blackwood, NJ, Mrs. Fry had been a resident of South Plainfield since 1955. A longtime and devout member of the North Plainfield Baptist Church, Ruth served the church in various capacities. She served as the Church's Pianist, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher as well as participated in the Children's Evangelism. She is predeceased by her husband, William B. Fry, Jr. a grandson, Michael Fry, a great grandson, John Fry, son - in - law, Richard Marsh, four brothers and one sister. Surviving are her three daughters; Betty Bocam of Piscataway, Marilyn Fry of Allentown, PA and Janice Krug and her husband George of North Plainfield four sons; David and his wife Harriet of Bloomingdale, Kenneth and his wife Kathy of South Plainfield, Donald and his wife Dorothy also of South Plainfield and Steven and his wife Colleen of South Bound Brook and a sister Irene Switzer of Iowa. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains Relatives and Friends may attend the visitation on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the funeral home.
