South Plainfield, NJ - Rozalia Genowefa (Tabaka) Szwaja, 91, entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 7, 2017. Born in Wolka Niedzwiedzka, Poland to the late Jan and Jozefa (Balut) Tabaka, Rozalia settled to the United States in 1964. A longtime resident of South Plainfield, she worked as a cook at Sherban's Diner for over forty years and has been a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church for many years. She loved spending time outdoors, especially planting flowers. Predeceased by three siblings, Rozalia is survived by her loving daughters and their families; Mary Radwan and her husband Abraham of South Plainfield, Janina Vira of North Plainfield, Sophie March and her husband Greg of Bayville, brother Ted Tabaka of Wallington and seven cherished grandchildren and nine adored great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 4-8pm and on Saturday, September 16, 2017 beginning 8:15 am. On Saturday, September 16, 2017, funeral services will begin at 8:45 am in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield. Rozalia will be laid to rest beside her husband at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
