Piscataway- Christina C. Sweet (Diaz) 79 years, died Monday January 1, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Amsterdam, NY, Christina settled in North Plainfield to raise her family and later moved to Piscataway. Before she retired, Christina, was a billing administrator for Dr. Mark Freedman in South Plainfield for 19 years. After retirement, she worked part time for her son, Lenny, at his business of TLS Tools & Precision. Chrisina enjoyed taking her four grandchildren to church every Sunday and considered herself an evangelist. She often ministered at the Zarapath Health Clinic which Christina had volunteered her time for a few years. Predeceased are her parents, Edmundo and Lucy; her sisters, Theresa Tefel and Olga Diaz; and a brother, Richardo. Surviving is her daughter, Theresa Runiak; son, Leonard Sweet; four grandchildren, Felisia, Monique, Gabriella and Selena and two great grandchildren Maison and Phoenix. Funeral services will begin on Friday January 5, 2018 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by burial in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
