We have so many fond memories of Aunt Fannie . . . Valerie beginning in childhood, Roger from when he and Valerie married in 1988 and Allison when she joined our family in 1991. Aunt Fannie was a very loving, generous Aunt who was always interested in everything we did. A favorite memory is her sincere concern for then three-year-old Allison and her constant attachment to a well-worn stuffed puppy. Aunt Fannie spent many shopping trips trying to find a replacement in case Puppy was lost. She came close and 22 years later, both the original and replacement Puppy are in Allison's memory box. We last saw Aunt Fannie and Uncle Tony in 2008, two days after the memorial service for Valerie's Dad, Peter and sister, Susan. Always the perfect hostess, we arrived to fine her dining room table filled with treats and we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon. As we live 2,000 miles away, we didn't know if there would be another visit. We will always be grateful for Aunt Fannie and Uncle Tony's loving relationship with Susan. Susan faced many challenges after our mother's death and as she grew older. The Rundella home was always a safe haven for her and she spent many, many weekends shopping with Aunt Fannie, enjoying lunch and dinner and watching Yankee Games with Uncle Tony. Aunt Fannie was a kind heart and caring confidant for Susan and this meant the world to Valerie and her Dad. What a good life you lived, Aunt Fannie. We'll miss you but find comfort in knowing that you're in heaven with Uncle Tony and so many family members and friends who love you.
