Obituary of Paulus J. Tuyp

South Plainfield, NJ - Paulus J. Tuyp, passed away at his residence with his loving and supportive family by his side on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Born in Plainfield, Paul moved to South Plainfield in 1994. Paul attended St. Joseph High School in Metuchen and earned his Bachelors Degree from Scranton University. He worked in Inventory Control for Gucci located in Secaucus. A lover of golf, he has worked part-time for the Plainfield Country Club as a caddy since the age of fourteen. During last summer's pro tour, he caddied for PGA Pro Paul Cassie. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved going to the beach, was a communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa in South Plainfield and he enjoyed coaching the South Plainfield Girls Soccer Strikerz team for many years. He leaves behind his wife Carol (Medrick) Tuyp and two children; Allison and Nicholas all of South Plainfield. He also leaves behind his parents Jan and Anja (Schilder) Tuyp of Plainfield, sister Kimberly Felter and husband Ray of Pittsburg, nephews Ryan and Kevin Felter and by his longtime group of friends; known to many as the "Silver Dragons." Visitation will be held from 12pm - 4m on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield. Relatives and friends are invited to gather directly to Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church on Monday, March 20, 2017 for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial. At the request of the family, cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions sent to NJSGA caddy Scholarship Fund in the name of Paul Tuyp, 3 Golf Drive, Kenilworth NJ 07033 would be appreciated. Donations will be reserved for caddies of Plainfield Country Club.
