South Plainfield - Cassie (Snyder) Forgash, 92, passed away at home on what would have been her 72 wedding anniversary, Sunday, March 6, 2016. Born and raised in Plainfield, Mrs. Forgash had resided in South Plainfield for the past 62 years. A homemaker who took pride in caring and raising her family, Cassie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and making clothes for her family. Mrs. Forgash graduated from Plainfield High School Class of 1941 and was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church North Plainfield. In addition, Cassie was an avid fan of the NY Mets as well as Rutgers University Athletics. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew J. and son Drew, surviving are daughters, Davida Sacco and her husband Joe of South Plainfield and Stephanie Cuda of Lake Aerial, PA; son, Richard Forgash and his wife Bonnie of South Brunswick; daughter in-law, Sherry Forgash of NY and her grandchildren, Joseph and Todd Sacco, Andrew Forgash, Jill and Drew Forgash and Dylan Albury. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Joseph, Jenna, Jordan, Alexandra and Victoria. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
