South Plainfield - Mark Zeliff, 59, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Lehigh Valley - Cedar Crest Hospital.
Born in Glen Ridge, Mark grew up in Bloomfield and resided in Elizabeth and Hillside before settling to South Plainfield in November of 1998.
A Meter Tech for PSE&G's central division in Somerset County, Mark was a former ELK and active with the Son's of the American Legion Squadron 243 in South Plainfield.
In his younger years Mark was known as "the Kid", a name which stuck with him into his adult years. He was an avid softball player and wrestler. Mark also participated in various pool leagues and enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and the company of his pets.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Ellen (Randle) Zeliff; surviving are his wife, Joanne (Sperduto) Zeliff of South Plainfield; sister, Patricia Giordano of Woodbridge; four brothers, Paul and wife Roseann of Old Bridge, Christopher of Long Valley, William of Fords and Karl and wife Carol Ann of Long Valley and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He will also be missed by his goddaughter, Sarah.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at 10AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church.
Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather on Monday from 4-8PM In the funeral home.
