Lisa and I have very fond memories of brother Jones. He was a very kind, generous and thoughtful man; our brother in the Lord Jesus Christ. During a prayer meeting at the Christian assembly in Clark, NJ he observed my sad demeanor. After the meeting he put his arms around me, encouraged me and passed along a small note with these words "Give Up and Let God". He treated and cared for our children as though they were his grandchildren. We miss brother Jones very much but are comforted by these words from God's Word about our brother Paul "absent from the body, present with the Lord".

There are many examples to follow in life, many men who are deserving of praise. But of all the men who've accomplished it all, not one will ever begin to compare with the example I've had in my dad. He taught me his values, he raised me with love, he's always shown me his respect; and though his name may never appear in bright lights, he's one man you'd never forget. My dad was my leader, my pattern for life, and on him I knew I could always depend. He often spoke of adventures abroad never taken. But, in his daily life, he blessed people with his generosity so much so that they became his adventure. Because of his relationship with Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father has taken note of each time he sacrificed for the benefit of others. His adventures in people's lives will be manifested in Heaven for Matthew 25:23 says that "He who has been faithful over a few things I will make the ruler over many things." And as far as earthly beauty compared to Heavenly beauty? 1 Corinthians 2:9 promises that "...eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." Dad sacrificed for his family, neighbors, the assembly, co-workers, employees, strangers and the list goes on. Well done, Daddy. You have lived well. Enter into your rest knowing you are loved beyond words.

We will be praying for Jean and the sons and daughters of our beloved brother Paul. We loved our dear brother very much and will miss the spot that he occupied on Tuesdays and Sundays at the chapel. Paul and I had a great relationship and it always amazed me whatever place I would mention he would tell me all about the landmarks. Though only a few years older than me he reminded me of my dad who was a bus driverand did the very same thing. It seemed to me that these two men new every place I could think of and much much more. The last time I saw Paul he was telling me a story but the effects of the cancer and medications prevented him from finishing it, we will resume it when I join him in the glory. Praying now that our blessed Savior will care for and comfort our dear sister Jean.

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Paul's passing. We hope that you find comfort knowing He loved Jesus with all his heart, and that we will all be reunited in God's timing. Until then, we can rejoice knowing the moment he was absent from this life and his body, he was present with the Lord free from pain and suffering, and all of Heaven celebrated as he entered in. Praying for you all. Love you.
