Obituary of Stuart Allen Sup

Stuart Allen (Sup) ACFE, ABRE, CFC, IEEE, SMPTE Plainfield - Stuart Allen (Sup), 73, died -November 23, 2016 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville Born in Hell's Kitchen, NYC, to the late Rudolf and Rita Sup, Stuart resided in Astoria Queens where he graduated from Stuyvesant High School and Pace University and attended NYU. At a young age he met Jacques Cousteau and was privileged to dive and sail with his family on the Calypso. He moved to New Jersey in the late 1960's then settled in Plainfield with his wife, Carol in 1982, where he served as the Chairman of the Plainfield Cultural and Heritage Commission from 1983 to 1995. A world traveler and accomplished engineer, photojournalist and writer, Stuart visited many countries in Africa and Europe. His works have appeared in over 500 publications, such as NY Times, Albany Times, Time/Life, Sports Illustrated, Skindiver Magazine, National Geographic, U.S. Naval Institute's Proceedings and many others. In the 70s Allen wrote produced and directed training films, tapes, TV spots, commercials, shorts and documentaries. He developed, wrote and produced segments for the Mike Douglas Show, ABC's Good Morning America with David Hartman; People, To Tell the Truth and others. He can be found in the closing credits of prime access specials and other TV specials, including Wide World of Sports, CBS sports, ABC/Top Rank Evel Knievel Snake River Canyon Special and many others. Combining his engineering background with the high tech equipment used in the Broadcast and Entertainment Industry, he founded a subsidiary company "The Legal Services Group" at International Media Services in 1976, specializing in the analysis and enhancement of covert recordings, wiretaps, body wires, surveillance tapes and their recording devices. As a Certified Forensic Consultant, his services have been available to the Intelligence Community, Law Enforcement and the Legal Profession. His interests include Fine art, Music and Dance, Animal Welfare, Fly Fishing, Salt Water Fishing, Deep Sea Game Fishing, Travel, Exploration, Wilderness Camping, Environmental Preservation, Conservation, Blue Water Sailing, Amateur Radio Surviving are his wife and best friend of 34 years, Carol Terminelli, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Cremation services were held privately. A memorial gathering to celebrate Stuart's life will be held on December 11 from 2PM to 4PM in South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave. Plainfield, NJ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Somerset Healthcare Foundation in Somerville, N.J. or --The Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick, N.J.
