Obituary of Walter J. Maj

Middlesex - Walter J. Maj, Jr., 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Somerville to Hanna Kowalski and the late Walter Maj, Sr., Walter lived in South Bound Brook before settling to Middlesex fifteen years ago. Walter was an independent business owner and operator, with Arnold Bread Services in South Plainfield. He enjoyed shooting pool and working with his hands. He loved woodworking, enjoyed having a good time with family and friends and always put others first. Predeceased by his father Walter, Sr. in 2010, he leaves behind his loving family; fiancé Susan DiMura of Middlesex, children; Michael, Patrick, and Jason Maj and Caylinn Rowe, step-children; Dylan DiMura and Kristie Gibson, his mother Hanna Maj, brothers Henry and Stanley Maj, Joseph and wife Karen Maj, sisters Ann Gardner and husband Robert, Barbara Giameo and husband Jack and Teresa Maj. Walter will be deeply missed by his grandchildren; Ariel, Reese, Gavin, Shane and Jacob Maj, Aunt Krystyna Maj and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6-9pm with reflections and prayers beginning 8:30 pm.
