Azinet Lo Pudpud, 61 of Bronx, New York, and Baganga, Davao Oriental (Philippines), peacefully passed away on April 27, 2020 at the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in New York. Zoom Virtual Novena will be from April 28 to May 6, 2020 at 8:00 PM ET to pray for her eternal repose and to celebrate her life with family and friends. Please request for information on how to join from her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to your favorite charity. Her body now lies at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals in New Jersey. Due to COVID-19, only seven immediate family members may be with her. Azinet was born in Baganga, Davao Oriental, Philippines, to Asteria Veroy and Khai Lo on April 28, 1958. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southwestern University in Cebu City, Philippines. Her pre-college education was from Davao Chinese High School (Davao City), Our Lady’s Academy (Baganga) and Colegio de San Jose Recoletos (Cebu City). Azinet worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse at the Lincoln Memorial Hospital (Bronx, New York) for 30 years. She dedicated her entire working life to taking care of sick newborns in the community. She retired in May 2014. Azinet was a very selfless person. It was her life-long mission to help provide generously for the financial well-being of her family and help them achieve financial independence and self-reliance. She always thought of others even if she only knew them for a short period of time. She easily gets close to anyone she just met. She will forever be remembered as the beautiful and loving person that she is. Azinet lived a full, happy, and exciting life, and memories of her will forever remain in our hearts. Azinet loved to explore the world and cherished fun things. She made it a habit of sharing the good and important things that she read and learned. Her laugh was so infectious. Everyone who knows her loves her. Azinet will forever be cherished by her husband, Danny Pudpud, her mother Asteria, her siblings Anita, Gildo, Nilo and Glenn, her very best friend Heidi, her 12 nieces and nephews, 6 grand nieces and nephews, Auntie Milang, Imelda and Josh, the Pudpud and Jovilla families and the Mungcal family.
