Obituary of Joseph L. Commisso
Piscataway – Joseph Louis Commisso, 77, died Monday, February 28, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Bayside, Queens, Joe resided in Long Island and Staten Island before settling in Piscataway for the past 30+ years. He worked in financial services for most of his career at various companies on Wall Street including Shearson Lehman, Merrill Lynch, American Express, and the FDIC.
In Joe’s younger years, he enjoyed the outdoors and specifically loved golf, hunting, fishing, a cold beer, and attending a Mets or Knicks game. He enjoyed traveling, watching movies, listening to music and entertaining his family and friends with a good home cooked meal.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Royanna Commisso and two sisters; surviving are his five children, Lawrence Commisso (Nikolle), Robert Commisso (Laurie), Christine Lee (James), Kevin Moulton and, Sean Moulton (Cathy).
Joe will also be missed by his nine grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 in Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook.
