Obituary of Russell A. Dilley

South Plainfield - Russell A. Dilley, 55, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, Russell has resided in South Plainfield for the majority of his life, graduating from South Plainfield High School in 1979. For over 20 years, he worked as a warehouse manager for Halls and was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Pirates and Detroit Lions. Russell was a member of the South Plainfield Elks BPOE 2298, American Legion Post 243 and South Plainfield Italian American Club where he enjoyed darts, shuffle board and horseshoes. Russ was a friend to many and will be sadly missed by all. Predeceased by his father, Russell F.; surviving are his mother, Frances (Vogle) Dilley of South Plainfield and two brothers, John Dilley and his wife Arlene of Howell and Robert Dilley and wife Mary of Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 7-9PM and Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4-8PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Cremation services will be held privately. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:30AM in the funeral home. Burial of Russell's cremated remains will immediately follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
